Like My Thai

This is not an adventure, but more of an experience. After all it is not everyday that chefs come into your home and cook their signature dishes for you!

Liz and Mike brains behind Like My Thai, a pop up, Thai and Vietnamese restaurant in Erie, PA. Like My Thai will be opening a restaurant in January 2015. Liz and Mike created a small menu for a "tasting" atmosphere. For more information regarding any recipes or Like My Thai information please visit Like My Thai online!

The dishes were prepared in sections. Appetizers came first with the likes of fresh rolls (as seen above), fist rice, and cingiac, which are similar to egg rolls.

While Mike and Liz prepare each dish, the guests have the opportunity to be in the kitchen with them. This style of cooking creates a family atmosphere, just like the holidays!

The second rounds of dishes consisted of soup and greens. Coconut soup (with or without lime) was served first, followed by yu choi which not only smelled amazing but tasted great as well.

The third and final round is...drunken noodles! Now this was the highlight of the night if you ask me. This dish smelled great, looked beautiful, and tasted amazing.

Like My Thai is quite the experience. Mike and Liz are great chef who created an unforgettable atmosphere in a strangers kitchen.

For those who like to try new things I highly recommend Like My Thai! Its thairiffic! (See what I did there?)

until next time...
